According to one explanation its name is derived from IOULIATIKO – literally of july- since the grape ripens in that month. Its high levels of alcohol low and soft tannins leave the palate full and an intense smell on the nose. It is distinctively perfumed with fruit and sweet spices.
Food pairing: Lamb, mousaka and pork dishes.

Features: It’s a high level of alcohol wine, with low and soft tannins. Light red colour.
Intense smell from mature fruits and sweet spices. Medium body with good acidity. Should be served at 16°C.
